Peyton woke to the sounds of Jenny playing tag with Jake...She was sleeping on the couch, with a blanket on top of her, and she realized that it was late afternoon already...She had slept the afternoon away...

Peyton saw that Jenny was hoping up and down in front of her father, and that Jake was looking like a proud father....

Suddenly the days events rushed back to Peyton and she bolted upright from the couch....

"Psycho Derek!" She yelled it and then slapped her hand over her mouth, remember Jenny was present...

She sent her gaze to Jake, waiting for a response...

"Peyton, don't worry, they found him. He's in prison now. We're safe." Jake said excitedly.

He rushed over to Peyton and kissed her, he was so happy.

Oh man, he'd done again. Now he probably looked like a desperate fool.

Peyton was extremely happy with this news, but responded with, "Just questioning him though, they dont have any hard core evidence that he kidnapped that other man, and we have nothing to charge against him, he never hurt me....They will let him go shorltly if they have no evidence..."

Peyton sighed a deep breath momentarily forgetting everything at the touch of Jake's kiss...

"I dont think he is going away that easily Jake..."

With that Peyton leaned forward and gave a soft kiss on Jake's lips.

Jake chose to push all thoughts of Derek out of his mind and instead focus on the present.

And in the present he was kissing Peyton.

Damn, he was lucky. Well sorta, considering all that had happened today.

He pulled Peyton closer to him and kissed her even more passionately than before.

[Brooke Davis]

Brooke found herself walking up to Peyton's front door. She really missed her bestfriend and needed to see how she was. Brooke took a deep breath as she stoped for a moment with her hand on the doorknob. She opened the door, letting out the breath. "Peyton" she called before she noticed Jake and Peyton. As her eyes landed on them she starting backing up, "Oh I'm sorry, I should have knocked." Brooke started to turn around fully untill she reliezed who it was with Peyton, "Jagielski?" she said with laughter and confusion evident in her voice.

Peyton pulled away from Jake and saw Brooke. She smiled sheepishly, and glanced from Jake to Brooke and back, a bit embarassed.

"Hey Brooke..." Peyton glanced at Jake and asked, "Brooke knows about the psycho guy? Everyone knows right?"

Peyton stood up shakily and walked towards her former best friend...She held open her arms and asked softly, "How is B. Davis holding up?"

Peyton waited, unsure of how Brooke respond to her...Why was she here? Peyton decided now was the best time to find out...

Brooke watched as Peyton looked slightly embarassed, she let out a soft laugh. "So first off what psyhco? And second off I really want to talk to you Peyton." Brooke smiled as Peyton held open her arms, she wrapped her arms around Peyton, happy to be hugging her best friend. "Ive missed you Peyton, so much" Brooke wasnt sure if things were going back to the way the used to be, but Brooke wanted to try and make thier friendship work.

Peyton leaned into the hug, happy that Brooke was saying that she missed her...Peyton responded with, "I missed you too...I am glad your here now...Jake didn't tell you about psycho Derek? Oh man, we have a lot to discuss..." Peyton grabbed Brooke's hand and lead her out onto the porch, and the two girls took a seat on the swinging bench.
