[Peyton Sawyer]

When she reached the river court, she was a half hour late. The person she was waiting for was no longer there, and Peyton threw her hands up in the air frustrated....Great, now I have to deal with this now too....

Peyton walked over to the bleachers, and kicked the bottom rungs and winced at the pain that shot up her left leg. Defeated Peyton sat down and evaluated her situation. She could leave and go looking for the person, or she could wait it out and see if that person came back.

Peyton wandered over to her car and popped open her trunk. She had a beat up basketball in the trunk, one that Nathan forgot he left in her trunk, back when the two were dating. She took it out and walked back over to the court. She took her stance, aimed, and took a shot. It bounced off the back board but went through.

Peyton shot her hand in the air and pretended a crowd was around her, Where is Mouth when you need him? Peyton smiled and resumed her shooting of the basket ball. Sooner or later she would leave if the person didnt come back. In the meantime she had the ball and the sketchbook to keep her company.

[Lucas Scott]

Lucas was out for a drive when he thought he would stop by the Rivercourt. He parked his car and got out, having a flashback of Keith and him playing basketball. He smiled at the fact, and wished he was still alive. He was still in the flashback when somethign caught his eye that brought him back to reality. Peyton. She was on the court, with her arm in the air.

"Peyton" he said as he walked over to her. He wondered what she was doing, arm and all. "WHat are you doing?" he said with a smile and a chuckle.

Peyton quickly turned, and lower her hand from the air. Embarassed that she was caught, she smiled at Lucas.

Peyton swayed on her heels bak and forth...."Im waiting for someone, but it looks like they are not going to show..." Peyton pulled out a note from her pocket, handed it to Lucas and turned back to the basket.

Peyton bounced the ball and aimed for the basket and shot again, but this time she missed..."I guess I'll never be like the Scott Brothers..."

She turned back to Lucas who was reading the note, "Know who was trying to get in touch with me? I don't recognize the hand writing but I was suppose to meet them here...."

Lucas laughed at Peton's statement. "No you probably won't, but turt me....you're only missing actually making the baskets and winnign a State Championship" he said as he smiled at her. He took the note, reading it. "No, I don't reconize the handwriting. But whoever it was....." he said looking around, "Sure isn't here now" he said as he walked over and tok the ball, shooting it and making it. "But I guess I will have to do" he said as he gave her another quick smile. "So, what have you been up to lately? Hanging out with Nathan, Haley, Brooke? Anyone?" he asked, wonderign what she had been up to.

Peyton smiled back at Lucas, watching him hit towards the basket and miss...She surpressed a giggle....

Oh well, guess they were not too important if they couldnt meet me...I am alright...You and Brooke doing well?

Peyton hated that she had to go through Lucas to see how her former best friend was doing, but it was better than pretended she didnt exist....

Peyton grabbed the ball from Lucas and took position, and the ball swished right through the basket...She turned back to Lucas who was applauding her for her basket...Peyton waved and bowed to demonstrate how she handled winning...

Peyton glanced around the court, and just felt guilty, guilty because she missed her best friend, and sad because she was not talking to her much anymore...

Peyton and Lucas had wandered over to the beach, and Peyton watched as he talked to Haley, hung back a bit, as he saw her laughing with Haley, and then saw him wander over to Brooke....Peyton then advanced to Haley...
