Peyton woke early the morning to the sound of rain falling on the roof. Great, it goes well with my mood, she thought as walked slowly into the kitchen.
She wanted pancakes in the worst way, but considering her cooking skills, she decided on just making cinnamon toast. Unfortunately within the first few minutes, the toast burnt, and the smoke detector was going off. Peyton jumped quickly up onto the counter, and started to fan the dectector, and it soon became quiet. Too quiet. Peyton suddenly felt alone.
She glances at her cell phone, Would Brooke pick up if I call her? She missed her best friend, she needed her to give her guidance. She knew she would always love Lucas, but this time around, Brooke was coming first, and Brooke deserved to be happy. If burying her feelings for Lucas, is what Brooke wants, so be it. Lucas does not even know her true feelings, and it wont hurt anyone right?
Peyton walks to the refrigerator and pulls out the orange juice. She pours herself a glass and leans against the counter. She places the cold against her forehead and listens to the clock ticking, as her thoughts whirl around in her head. She needed to talk to someone, and if Brooke was not in the mood, who could listen?
Peyton walked slowly to her kitchen table and takes a seat, looking at her cell phone she texts a message to Brooke.
Need to talk...BFF'S forever right? Im here when you can let me in again...Please Brooke, I didnt mean to hurt you...Hoes over bros right??
Peyton then dials a familar number, and bites her lip when the voice mail picks up. After the beep, Peyton takes a deep breath.
[glow=red,2,300]Daddy? Its Peyton, I need to talk to you. Im not doing too well right now, and I need your advice, and I'm so scared to be alone right now.[/glow] Peyton's voice cracks and she takes a deep breath before adding, [glow=red,2,300]It's not life and death Daddy, just typical teenage problems, if they allow you to call out....Call me....Love you Daddy....[/glow]
Peyton closed her cell phone, and a sob escaped her mouth as she put her head in her hands. She prayed she didn't lose her best friend, again. She needed her in her life, and she would prove it no matter how hard it got.
She stood up and grabbed her keys by the counter, she needed someone to help her out. Maybe she would catch Haley at home before school started. If not at home, maybe she was in the tutor center....She started dialing Haley's number as she closed the door and headed to her car....
